The diagnostics screen
After entering the online room from the learning platform, you will be taken to the diagnostics screen, where you can check the camera and microphone before connecting to the class.
You can select microphone and camera devices if you have multiple devices on your PC.
Before connecting to the lesson, you can also enable or disable camera and mute or activate microphone.
To do this, click the left mouse button on the device icon.
Important: unfortunately, we do not yet have the "Select background" function when turning on the camera by a student or teacher :(
To make sure that your microphone is working, make sure that the slider on the diagnostics screen responds to sound.
If your microphone is not working/doesn't connect or doesn't respond, please check it on the site https://webcammictest.com/check-mic.html and disable all antiviruses on your PC.
When you are ready, click "Start lesson".
Interface for the student
By clicking on the grid button, you can change the display of conference participants ' screens.
When you click on the" ❓Help", you will be taken to the Knowledge Base, to the page with answers to frequently asked questions about the online room.
Click on "⚙️Open settings", you can check the sound and change the device for camera and microphone.
To open a chat, click on the 💬 chat icon in the lower menu bar of the room
Screen sharing
To start screen sharing, click on the monitor button on the lower menu bar:
After clicking 💻, you will be able to choose which area you want to share.
a) To share the entire screen, click on the displayed area and click "Share".
If you want the audio played on your PC to be heard by everyone, check the box for "Share audio".
b) To share the window of a particular program (Browser, Olga Vs Code, Roblox, etc.), select the "Application Window" tab, then select the screen of the desired program and click "Share".
c) To share a separate browser tab, select "Chrome Tab", select the appropriate tab, and click "Share".
When a student starts screen sharing, all participants, except teacher, see only a thumbnail of their demonstration, but cannot display it for themselves on the main screen.
For all students, the teacher screen is pinned to the main screen by default.
If you want to ask a question use the "✋Hand up" function"
In this case, the teacher will see a yellow border around the student's thumbnail, as well as a notification in the lower-left corner of the screen. Hand up is also accompanied by a sound signal for the teacher.
The frame will disappear when the student presses ✋ again.
To leave the conference, you can use the "Leave from room" button or simply close the tab with the video room.
