How to clear your browser cache/how to access the site in the Incognito mode

Since it is the Google Chrome browser is recommended for using the learning platform and the online platform, we will demonstrate how to clear the browser cache using Google Chrome as an example.

  1. Method 1. Clear your Browser Cache and Hard Refresh

    - Open the developer console in Google Chrome:
    Press «F12» or open the Chrome Menu in the upper-right-hand corner of the browser window and select More Tools > Developer Tools.
    You can also use the shortcut Option + ⌘ + J (on macOS), Shift + CTRL + J (on Windows/Linux) or simply right click anywhere on the page and choose "Inspect".

    The developer's console will be on your right.

    - Press and hold the «Refresh Icon» or use the right click on it (it's the rounded arrow icon in the upper left corner);

    - Choose «Empty Cache and Hard Reload» from the dropdown.

  2. Method 2. Complete cleaning.
    - Go to your browser settings.

    - Scroll page to the "Privacy and Security" section and select clear browsing data (clear history, cookies and cache).

    - Go to the "Advanced" tab and select which data you want to clear.

    Then return to the main tab, check all the checkboxes and select the period for which you want to clear the cache. If you have not done this even once, or the last time more than a month ago, it is better to choose "All Time".

    When you're ready, click "Clear data".

  3. Method 3. Incognito mode.
    To check if a page works without a cache, you can use the Incognito mode. In this mode, Chrome does not save your browser history and information you enter in forms. Cookies and site data are deleted when you exit incognito mode.

  4. Method 4. Refreshing the page without a cache.
    Press the key combination Ctrl + F5 on the keyboard while on the desired page.
