How to take a screenshot?
Windows
1st method:
By default, you can take a screenshot of the full screen using the Print Screen key on your keyboard, and sometimes PrntScrn, PrtScn, PrtScr, or PrtSc.
On some laptops, it is a keyboard shortcut Fn + Print Screen.
If you want to take a screenshot of only the active window (program), press Alt + Print Screen on your computer at the same time.
On some laptops, it is a keyboard shortcut Alt + Print Screen + Fn.
If your OS is updated to Windows 10, you can take a screenshot of the desired part of the screen with the keyboard shortcut Win + Shift + S.The screenshot will be automatically copied to the clipboard. To forward it to the technical support specialist, just press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V in the field of your message.
2nd method:
For Windows 8 and earlier OS versions, you can use the standard "Snipping Tool" to take a screenshot of a part of the screen. Also available on Windows 10.
This component captures a user-selected area of the screen and allows you to save it as a graphic file. The program is preinstalled in the system by default, you do not need to download and install it separately.
Click the start menu. Enter in the search field Snipping Tool and select it in the search results;
Select the "Mode" option to select the screenshot form, if required.
Select the "New" option to create a new screenshot of a part of the screen;
Select the desired area by holding the left mouse button. After you release the mouse button, a window with the created screenshot will immediately open;
You can save the image to a convenient folder and then attach it as an attachment to your email or message.
3rd method:

Press the Print Screen key and select the desired area of the screen;
The program also allows you to add selection areas in the form of an oval or square, or add red arrows directly in the screenshot mode.
macOS
1st method:
To create a full-screen snapshot, press and hold the following three keys simultaneously: Shift, Command, and number 3. the Screenshot will be saved on the desktop by default.
To create a snapshot of a part of the screen, press and hold the following three keys simultaneously: Shift, Command and number 4. The screenshot will be saved on the desktop by default.
To create a snapshot of a window or menu, press and hold the following four keys simultaneously: Shift, Command, number 4, and space. The screenshot is saved on the desktop by default.
