Camera/microphone not working

First and foremost, it is important to ensure that when connecting to the online room, it is the only tab using the microphone or camera.
If you have other tabs/browsers/software open simultaneously that are using the microphone or camera, it will not work in the online room.

Before the lesson starts, remove or completely disable all VPN extensions and programs on the computer, as they can interfere with the platform's operation even when turned off.

How to disable antivirus on your PC
  1. First of all, make sure that the microphone/camera works in other applications, for example, Skype. You can check the microphone/camera operation in the browser on this site.

  2. If the microphone/camera does not work in any application, please check the local sound settings. You can read how to do this here.

  3. When you connect to the online room for the first time, the browser requests access to the microphone and camera. You must click "Allow while visiting the site".

  1. Try clearing the cache and opening the online room link in incognito mode in Google Chrome.

  1. Check that your browser is updated to the latest version.

How to update your browser to the latest version
  1. Go to the settings on the platform and check if the correct microphone/camera is selected by default:

  1. If the wrong camera/microphone was selected by default, then choose the correct device from the dropdown list:

  1. If an antivirus is enabled on your computer, it must be disabled during the online class.

Antiviruses such as Avast, Kaspersky, and others block the correct operation of the platform and can also block access to the camera and microphone in the browser.

How to disable antivirus on your PC
  1. Make sure that the camera and microphone generally work correctly on the PC outside of the online room.

  1. Try downloading a Chromium-based browser that has never been installed on the PC before and open the online room in it (for example, Opera, Vivaldi).

  2. Try restarting the browser, PC.

Camera

  1. Click on the magnifying glass located at the bottom left next to the "Start" button:

  1. In the search bar, type "Privacy settings";

  2. Open the section by simply clicking on it, or by clicking the Open button.

  1. Go to all settings by clicking on Privacy & security.

  1. Go to the "Camera" section.

  1. Check that the toggle switch is set to the "On" position in all the main sections.

After checking the items, do not close this tab, as it will be needed in the future to view microphone settings.


Microphone

  1. Open sound settings through the special icon on the taskbar.

  1. Check that the device is detected by the system and selected correctly.

  1. Return to the Privacy settings as shown in the case of the camera.

  2. Go to the "Microphone" section

  3. Check that the toggle switch is set to the "On" position in all the main sections.
